Yura: Hills to the east.
Flowers yellow-orange, ca 4 cm across, joints oval to spherical, stems prostrate. Very abundant on dry sandy hillsides and along quebradas. Outer surface of petals more reddish than inner.

Observaciones:
Pericarpel 2-2.5 cm diam., flowers solitary although sometimes 2 on one joint. Rocky hill-sides. Very common. Joints 3-4 cm, stigma 5-branched, white. Style short and thick. Joint with flowers easily detached, others are not.
